A Couple of Remixes
Here are two remixes I did this year for two local acts, Lakker and Waiting Room.
Sadly, Waiting Room are no more.
The Lakker remix is also available on their site.
Lakker - Melting Laquer (decal remix)
Waiting Room - Denis (decal remix)
Decal - live October 2007
This is a recording of the gig I did with Lakker in Crawdaddy for the launch of their 'Ruido' album..
To avoid having to bring out all my hardware I built a Logic environment to control a load of
sine/square waves and guitar samples in the ESX24, the same way I would if I was using hardware.
It had been on my mind for ages to try to replicate how I use hardware live with software.
The set is basically drone or dark ambient or whatever you want to call it.
I split it into three pieces so I could master it properly.
Enjoy :)

Eighties Funky (Language)
Eighties Funky appeared on the CD and Vinyl releases of Miscellaneous The 2nd on Tony Thorpe's, now defunct, Language label back in 1996.
This was the second attempt at the track - the first was rejected for being too 'ordinary' :)
If I can find the original mix, I'll put it up.

Various - S@ccharine (S@E)
S@ccharine was a CDr compilation of local Irish music put out by the guys who wrote the Sl@nted @nd Ench@nted freesheet. There were 3 contibutions by Decal in one form or another. From what I remember all the tracks were writen in 1997.
I'm sticking this up here because I found the CDr the other day and it
has started to oxidize so I ripped it before it was lost forever.
1. Decal - Krac - Wonky techno track from Decal.
2. Stealth Vs Mcut - There Is... - minimal electro/drum & bass from AOB with vocals from Americhord.
3. Java - Javalanche (Papmix) - DMN remix of a umack 7inch by Java.

Unreleased Tracks
Some tracks that never made it onto vinyl for one reason or another.
'Present'
was done at the same time as 'Digital Bitch' from the Brightest Star
album on RGC. Vocal sample crops up again on 'Of the Present' on the
'Release Through Velocity' album on Satamile.
'Dropping Quays' and 'Glitch' are from 1999. Two tracks that I never really managed to slot in on a release but still listen to from time to time.
